The next S.H. Figuarts Dragonball Z figure started to hit state side earlier this month and The Toyark is continuing it’s galleries of them today with Vegetto! Vegetto is the combined form of Goku and Vegeta, fusing together using the Potara Earrings to battle Majin Buu in the show. He uses the Goku mold as a base with a new head, forearms and feet to represent the Vegeta portion of the fusion. We’ve done up over 50 shots of Vegetto in action, so check him out after the break along with our quick thoughts!
S.H. Figuarts Dragonball Z Vegetto (Vegito)
Pros
Solid representation from the show
Both regular and Super Saiyan hair
Energy blast is nice
Cons
Another remold/repaint using the Goku base
Faces don’t snap as tight.
Hands and feet slightly off color wise to the rest of glove/boot
Overall
Overall, another solid offering. I love this line and I’ll take em all. However, I’m getting a bit tired of the Goku mold. This is basically a reapaint, even though it does have new molded parts. I understand that the line needs to keep releasing some form of Goku and Vegeta because they sell, but there are a lot of other characters I’d like to see before getting some late Buu Saga basically-repaints of already released characters. Tien, Yamcha, kid Gohan, adult Gohan (not in orange goku mold gi), Buu, Nappa, Raditz, Saiyan armor Trunks, and so on and so on. Lots of options. I’ll even take some more Vegetas. So, really the biggest gripe is just that this mold is played. Aside from that, it does what it needs to do – head has the earrings, both hair modes, hands o plenty, folded arms, cool energy blast which fits onto a special hand (that’s well done and appreciated), ample faces. He tucks into an ever growing SHF DBZ shelf well. So, let’s all look at the pretty pictures and get to waiting on those fresh new pieces coming later this year (at least 3 use this Goku mold as a base tho :( ).
