DC Icons galleries continue today with #07 Black Adam! Shazam‘s nemesis makes his Icons debut with the first larger more muscular sculpt. He comes with alternate hands including a set of lighting beams to shock his foes. Gold paint highlights his traditional black suit and cape, capped with an electric bolt on his chest. Black Adam is another solid entry to the line, let’s take a look after the break courtesy of Big Bad Toy Store!

Overall
Black Adam is yet another well done figure in the Icons line. His larger frame is welcome to differentiate size in the universe. I’m sure we’ll be getting a Shazam down the road with many of the same parts, and it looks like Superman will be working from this base. The paint, especially on the head, is well done – down to the thin glossed over white eyes. The lighting beams are also great, worthy of Emperor Palpatine himself. All of these figures work when put together even if you aren’t specifically into them individually. So as a DCU builder or for Shazam specific fans, he’s a great addition either way.
