DC Icons wave 1 and 2 are done, finishing up today with #09 Deluxe Hal Jordan Green Lantern! Hal‘s figure is a standard DC Icons slim body sculpt but he comes with an entire Lantern mech suit in translucent green plastic pushing him into the Deluxe zone. The figure by itself is a solid entry – the bonus Lantern effects and accessories are all gravy. Let’s take a closer look after the break courtesy of Big Bad Toy Store!

DC Icons first deluxe figure is a worthy one. The figure by itself is a top line Icons entry, and the bonus suit is significant. It also comes with extra hands and a lantern. The paint is sharp and clean, applications are as well. The armor does tend to pop off and apart easily when moving around, which was frustrating for the shoot. But if you get him in a stance and leave him alone, it should be fine on the shelf. I found that putting parts on here or there, not fully suited up, gives off some pretty cool looks as well (see pics). All in all, he was a perfect capper to the first round of Icons in 2015. There are 8 more planned through March 2016 (scroll down), and I’m sure we’ll be seeing many more in February at Toy Fair!
