The next wave of Star Wars the Force Awakens 6 Inch Black Series is dropping more regularly now and today we are starting our look at Wave 4. Wave 4 consists of General Hux, Tie Pilot, Snowtrooper, and Resistance Pilot Asty. The rest of the case included re-packs of Kylo and Rey. Overall
Hux is well done. My personal copy had a rogue paint swipe from his hair on his cheek, so let’s ignore that. The outfit is complex. A black rubber-like coat is moveable and gives off the look of worn tumbled leather. Gloves and boots are a bit shiny, giving off the look of patent leather. Under the coat we have a long shirt which has texture to it similar to a woven fabric. The pants are also flared out on the upper leg, showing off his military officer look. The hat also has multiple shades of black giving it a multi-dimensional feel. First Order symbols on the hat and arm are clean. Likeness is standard Black Series style, inspired by, and is pretty good depending on the angle. Bottom line, Hux may look plain at first glance but a lot of work went into him. He will be a proper fit on your First Order shelves commanding the troops and arguing with Kylo.
