Chronicle Collectibles has posted up their latest collectible for pre-order. The Starship Troopers Rodger Young 176 Model Kit is an unpainted and unassembled kit based on the original ship prop used for the film. It is priced at $650 with a release set to ship out within the next three to four weeks. Payment plans are available. Here are the details from their Facebook and Product Pages:
We have about 10 kits finished so some paid in full orders will ship immediately. Could take three to four weeks for delivery.
This is a very large resin kit at 35″ long and includes photo etched brass catwalk, decals and styrene detail pieces.
You’ll also get 30 photos from the set of the artist creating the Rodger Young along with a color sample and paint masks.
The kit is $650 and requires knowledge of resin kit building and scratch building.

The 1997 film, Starship Troopers, brought to life Robert Heinlein’s same-titled book with Academy Award nominated Visual Effects and terrifying fight scenes against the Arachnids from Klendathu. One of the most memorable scenes of Starship Troopers is the Battle of Klendathu, where a Corvette Transport ship called the Rodger Young 176, is one of the few ships that manages to survive, piloted by Carmen Ibanez, played by Denise Richards. With her expertise, the Rodger Young 176 makes it out of the battle with only moderate damage, until later, in the Invasion of Planet P, the Rodger Young 176 is torn in two by a Plasma burst.
This impressive, studio-scale resin kit is 35″ long and includes two command towers, pre-astroid and after. The Rodger Young was mastered by Fon Davis from the original molds, decals by JT graphics, with instructions and photo etched parts by Richard Long. Chronicle Collectibles is proud to present the most accurate Rodger Young model kit ever offered for sale. It has been channeled for electronics, but they are not included.
