DC Icons Wave 3 is finally in-hand! After a long wait wave 3 of DC Comics Icons have officially landed. Wave 3 consists of Aquaman, Atomica (Deluxe), Harley Quinn and Superman. Each are 6 inch scale with above average articulation & paint coupled with relevant accessories. These pull from all generations of DC Comics, so each represent how they looked in the source material they are based on. Aquaman is based on “The Legends of Aquaman“, a 1989 one shot origin story. The deco screams classic Aquaman, featuring a bright orange scaled upper and sleek green gloves and tights. Overall
This is a classic Aquaman, needed to fulfill a Justice League line up – but it’s still Aquaman. Sorry to any hardcore fans, but AM was never my thing :). It’s executed well, the paint and sculpt on the upper chest really pop. The telepathy accessory is well done, it pops in and out of the alternate head well and looks really cool when applied. Standard DC Icons body structure is in play, nothing new. Overall, solid figure and great filler for an Icons shelf, and if you are a Aquaman die hard, def worth a pick up!
