Toyark sponsor Big Bad Toy Store has opened up pre-orders for the first figures based on Voltron: Legenday Defender. The first season of the Netflix exclusive series has pleased fans new and old, and a second season is on its way! Nerdist also broke down more info on the releases. The figures are being produced by Playmates Toys.
There will be a 5.5″ sized basic assortment of the Lions as well as a miniature sized Voltron and Myzax. The lions in this assortment do not combine, but do feature various play gimmicks and accessories.These will retail for roughly $9.99 each.
There will be a larger scaled assortment as well, that will allow for full combining into a 16″ tall Voltron. There figures, called the Legendary Lion Assortment, will have about 18 points of articulation, with a larger Black Lion that has over 50 sound effects, with some available only when combined into Voltron. Removable pilots will also be included with these Lions. The four limb Lions will be priced at $17.99 each, with the Black Lion priced at an MSRP of $29.99.
There will be a few other items as well. This includes a Voltron 14″ Ultra Figure and a few different Role Play items. This non-transforming figure will have over 26 points of articulation. This version has a variety of light up features, sound effects and projectiles. The MSRP on this will be about $39.99. The role play items will include Voltron’s sword, as well as costume pieces for the lions.
