Last week I shared the first Toyark gallery for the Disney Store Exclusive Star Wars Elite Premium Series Figures. In that gallery, we took a look at Darth Vader and Kylo Ren. Today, I shared two more figures; The Rogue One: A Star Wars Story – Director Orson Krennic and Imperial Death Trooper Elite Premium Series Figures. The Elite Premium Series figures stand between 10″ and 11″tall and have over 30 points of articulation. They include fabric outfits, interchangeable hands and weapons. Krennic and the Death Trooper both come in around the 10″ mark.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story – Director Orson Krennic and Imperial Death Trooper Elite Premium Series Figures
Pros
- Krennic has a great head sculpt
- Death Trooper features an excellent overall sculpt
- Lots of articulation
- Both have easy to swap out hands
- Good use of soft goods, especially on the Death Trooper
- Death Trooper’s armor is nice and shiny
- Good value for the price
Cons
- Weak ankles on both figures
- Krennic’s cape is too thick
- Krennic’s weird pants
- Infuriatingly tough to get out of the packaging
Overall
Like Darth Vader and Kylo Ren, these come packaged in nicely designed window boxes that really showcase the figures. Instead of red accents and backer cards, these feature blue highlights throughout the box design. There’s not much design, but it presents a nice overall display. The figures are tied, tagged and essentially bolted to the inner cardboard tray. Like the other two, these figures have a baffling amount of stuff holding them to the backer tray. For Krennic, his cape has numerous plastic tags throughout, and both have an assortment of rubber bands, twine, and twist ties that have to be carefully removed in order to keep the figures intact. I can’t stress enough how much I loathe Disney’s approach here.
After a good half hour to get these guys out of the packaging (mostly) unscathed, they are ready for display. Each figure includes an extra set of interchangeable hands. Krennic includes his blaster pistol, which fits into his holster. The Death Trooper is armed to the teeth. That figure includes a blaster rifle, a blaster pistol, and three grenades that fit in his front pouch. Director Krennic has a fabric outfit and cape. The Death Trooper has a cloth outfit that has a wide array of plastic armor pieces over top of it. Articulation is excellent on both figures, with double jointed elbows, hinged toes, ball jointed waists and more. Nearly any dynamic pose you want, these figures can be placed in. The sculpted details are surprisingly good here. Krennic’s head sculpt is easily the best of any of Disney’s human faces, with a good actor likeness and great paint application. The Death Trooper, from helmet to boot is exceptional, rivaling Vader for best in the line.
The figures are not without a few knocks against them. Director Krennice has an extremely odd pants design. While the film version had pants that flared out a bit at the hips, here it’s a bit too exaggerated and looks like he has hip wings. The cape used on Krennic is also a bit too thick and heavy. Both Krennic and the Death Trooper suffer from weak ankle joints, which weren’t present on Vader or Kylo Ren. It made them tough to keep standing at times, and the top heavy nature of both figures added to those trouble.
I’m hoping the weak ankles were isolated incidents. The overall figures are both fantastic and excellent value for $35 or less. Check out some highlight photos below and the full gallery after that.
