We’re back with a look at more of the new Madballs items currently hitting various online retailers. Today we have a look at some of the Madballs Bind Box Series 1 by Kidrobot. These smaller Madballs come individually packaged in a blind box counter display. There are a total of 16 Madballs in the assortment. Toyark sponsor Entertainment Earth sent us a few along, and we have a look at 9 out of 16 Madballs. Included in the assortment are:

Overall
The Madballs mini-figures are quite nice. Each one is cast in a vinyl similar to the larger 6″ Madballs figures. A display stand is included with each Madballs here. The sculpting on them is top notch. The Madballs are more in line with the classic original series designs, as opposed to the kid oriented designs of the Just Play retail released Madballs. They feature highly detailed sculpts, with appropriately grotesque bits of slime, ooze, saliva and puss. Details are on par with the much larger Madballs and the paint decos are nearly perfect. There’s a fine, dark paint wash over each one, bringing out the sculpted details nicely.
I’m personally not a fan of Blind Boxes, and the Madballs mini-figures highlight why. they’re exceptionally cool little versions of the Madballs, but tracking each of them down will prove expensive and time consuming, or require you to purchase an entire case leaving you with a few duplicates. If you happen to be a fan of blind boxes and/or Madballs, then it is absolutely worth picking up at least a few of these. They looks fantastic in hand.
