While searching for his missing father, Jesse Alexander, Sam fell off his skateboard and hit his head. When he woke he discovered Gamora and Rocket standing over his hospital bed. They too were searching for Jesse and his Black Nova helmet. After discovering Jesse’s helmet, Gamora and Rocket began to teach Sam how to use a Nova helmet. Sam was trained by both Gamora and Rocket on how to properly use his helmet in order to one day live up to his father’s legacy.

Nova is a figure that I personally do not care about. My Marvel Legends collection does not go this deep and this one has very little appeal for me. As a figure it has good articulation and a nice sculpt and stands well on it’s own. I hope we don’t start seeing “kid” versions of character, I’m not down with that concept at all. Easy pass for me.
