The Toyark’s S.H. Figuarts Dragonball Z galleries are back for 2017! Today we are taking a look at the recently released Battle Damaged Super Saiyan Son Gohan. This is his appearance from the Cell Saga, in the final fight with Cell. He differs from his previous SHF releases in that he’s rocking torn up clothing to match his look in those last legs of the fight. The figure features the upgraded plastic quality, better paint accuracy and enhanced articulation that the SHF DBZ line has moved to over the last several figures. Overall it’s a worthy upgrade and will pair great with the soon to drop (in the States) Premium color Cell! Read on to check out over 50 HD images courtesy of site sponsor The Toy Source!

Battle Damaged Super Saiyan Son Gohan
Pros
Great build quality
Dense matte plastic
Paint applications sharp
Colors saturated, but not too much
Upgraded articulation at crotch and shoulders
Cons
Still no non-Super Saiyan head for this version of Gohan
Overall
Another great update. Whenever I see them redoing versions of characters we already have, my initial reaction is OH COME ON. But, once in hand, it’s hard not to love it. It really is an upgrade in all senses. Technically this isn’t a pure upgrade, as he has the battle damaged clothing, but it’s still late Cell Saga Gohan. The figure feels significant in hand. Handling these vs the early releases is night an day. The joints are tight, the plastic is matte and dense. The paint is well applied and less shiny. Sculpting on the hair is a bit more dynamic. It’s just better, as Awakening Goku, SS Vegeta 2 and Saiyan Armor Trunks were. If you are into the line, he is a pick up for sure. If you’re thinking about getting in, now may be the time as you can find a lot of the core characters for reasonable prices, and they seem to be re-doing many that can’t be. So you’ll have a chance to get your line ups without dropping bank. Check out Gohan for yourself below, full set after that!
