When Negan stepped onto the scene in The Walking Dead TV Series, he made his presence immediately known. With unmatched swagger, a cool demeanor and the most foul and quotable dialogue on the show, Negan commanded your attention. If those qualities don’t draw you in, his weapon of choice, a barbed wire bat he calls Lucille, will surely draw your attention. With a ruthless series of swings, Negan decimates the hope of Rick’s group by crushing the skulls of two of Rick’s most trusted allies and friends.

Overall
Lucille comes in a great looking partial window box. The packaging showcases the bat inside, while also leaving enough room on the box for some nice design work, and photos of other Walking Dead releases on the back. Lucille sits in a plastic tray, held in by a few bands. You can easily put the bat back on the tray and in the box for display or storage.
I’m not a big costume or role play item guy. I have only one other life size collectible, which is the Alien Facehugger (cause it fits neatly over my movie display case). Something like Lucille is actually quite perfect for me. Once out of the box, it’s small enough to display easily, and looks good enough to use when cosplaying for cons or parties. While not a “toy”, it’s designed in a way that’s safe to have around kids. The bat itself is a hard, and surprisingly hefty plastic. It does not feel hollow at all. The barbed wire is a very soft vinyl, painted thoroughly to give off the look of metal. It’s an effects that works very well. My only real gripe with this is that the bat is not a single piece, but at least three pieces that were assembled together. Seeing those breaks in the bat breaks the illusion a bit.
For me, Lucille turned out great. I love the weight it has and how good it looks in hand. Making sure the barbed wire a softer material was a really good choice, ensuring that no one accidentally slices a hand while wielding this. Check out a few photos below and the full gallery after that.
