Today I look at the third and final figure from wave 3 of the Heroes of the Storm figures by NECA Toys. Over the last few days, I’ve shared photos and reviews for Starcraft’s Jim Raynor and Warcraft’s Thrall. Today I have Sylvanas from World of Warcraft. The Undead Elven Ranger is a leader of the Forsaken faction of the undead. The figure includes a bow, arrows and a magical arrow. She also includes a fabric cape. Sylvanas stands a little under 7″ tall and is available in stores now. Toyark sponsor Dorkside Toys sent along the figure. Read on for photos and my review.

Overall
Like Raynor and Thrall, the Sylvanas figure comes in a plain looking clamshell package featuring Heroes of the Storm logos and elements. The packaging design is the same across all three figures is the third series. A bio for Sylvanas and checklist for Series 3 are included. The figure comes with a bow, arrows and a magical arrow.
Sylvanas is a fun addition to the Heroes of the Storm line up. She has a great looking design, and is a character that has a long history in the World of Warcraft games. The sculpt for Sylvanas is nicely detailed with great textures on the assorted armor pieces. Her portrait has a sculpted on hood that looks cool, but I’d love to have had an additional sculpt with the hood removed. That’s a minor nit pick, as the portrait itself looks good and adds to the mysterious dark archer style character she portrays. the included bow fits nicely into her left hand, with a very taught piece of string attached. The figure includes three standard arrows and one magical shot arrow. The regular arrows can be stored in the quiver on the figures back. Sylvanas’ right hand is perfectly sculpted for archery poses and the arrows can be held in place between her fingers. Double jointed elbows would have really made posing for archery shots easier here as it can be a bit of work to get the arms in place to look natural. Articulation, overall, is fine though. NECA used a softer vinyl on the shoulder pauldrons so they don’t really hinder any range of motion. Paint work is clean with vibrant colors throughout. Paint lines between specific sections are all clean with no noticeable misalignment or paint bleeds. My only real complaint is that the figure can be hard to keep standing. She has small feet with thin ankles that can have a hard time supporting the figure, especially when posing with the bow.
As a whole, Sylvanas is a fine addition to the Heroes of the Storm line up. She has a great design with a vibrant and colorful paint scheme, good articulation and solid accessories. See some highlight photos below and the full gallery after that.
