Eternal Shenron, by your name I summon you forth!
I collected all 7 Dragonballs and summoned the big guy so today we are going to take a look at none other than S.H. Figuarts Dragonball Z Shenron! He is a massive figure, with articulated joints all through his body allowing for dragon-y poses galore. This is a figure I never thought would actually happen. They teased him back in 2013 at SDCC (see shots here on the Reference Guide) and ever since then I thought he was a pipe dream. That is until now! This year our wish was granted, along with another in Nappa, so we have one left. Let’s take a closer look after the break!
ICYMI: Toyark’s S.H Figuarts Dragonball Z Reference Guide (Updated today)
Overall Thoughts:
Epic! Really well done figure head to tail. Tons of articulated joints allow for posing him up however you want. He has four articulated arms with shoulder, elbow and wrist joints. Mouth opens, upper neck has extra range. Paint is solid throughout, and the sculpting of the scales is sharp on the whole body. The Dragonballs come in a ring, not individually, and his tail can rest right in the center. There are really no cons. I had his end section pop off a bit too easily during posing, but once you get him where you need him, and rest him on the included stand, all is well.
Bottom line – epic centerpiece for a Dragonball Z display! 100% worth a pick up!
