S.H. Figuarts Dragonball Z figures will continue their full court press in 2018 and starting things off today is Yamcha! Yamcha sports his Saiyan Saga look with long hair and orange gi. He comes packed with 4 total faces, 4 different hand sets and a mini figure Saibaiman. Back when SHF DBZ was picking up steam in 2014 or so, I said they needed to focus on core characters to fill in the ranks, characters like Yamcha and Tien. And now we are getting both back to back as Tien drops in the States later this month. Both are a welcome addition and fill out the Tamashii Nations DBZ line up. Let’s take a closer look after the break!

S.H. Figuarts Dragonball Z Yamcha
Overall Thoughts:
Well done piece. If you’re gonna get a Yamcha, this is pure Yamcha. Body uses the new tech with the ab cut, split crotch and double jointed knees. Plastic quality is good. Not as matte as some previous releases, but there is no hard plastic shine and some slight weathering / toning paint is present. His long hair has a ball joint mid way down that allows for posing and moving the head as needed. The Saibaiman is an awesome addition to fill out the release. He has articulation in the head and shoulders, and one hand is removable so you can recreate the “Yamcha is Dead” pose which had that one hand laying there near his legs. Bonus points for that. All in all its a well done piece that fills out the ranks and is welcome here.
