S.H. Figuarts Dragonball Z Tien HD Gallery

S.H. Figuarts Dragonball Z continues this month with the release of Tien Shinhan! Tien is a core original character dating back to the original Dragonball series. The S.H. Figuarts version here is based on his Saiyan Saga look, shirtless with green pants. He comes packed with 4 sets of hands including one for a tri-beam plus one other, 4 total heads, and his companion Chiaotzu. To cap it off we get an extra piece so that Chiaotzu can attach the the back of Nappa and re-create the epic scene from the show where Chiaotzu sacrifices himself for the team (bad decision).

He is another well done piece, using the new articulation tech in the hips and pants, forward rotating shoulders, matte paint and textured plastic to reduce the shine. Paint is minimal but well applied throughout. Plastic quality is high and joints keep their position. We’ve got 45+ HD images, let’s take a closer look after the break!

S.H. Figuarts Dragonball Z Tien

Solid entry to the line up! I’ve been itching for Tien and Yamcha ever since they started redoing Goku and Vegeta repeatedly, I want each saga’s core line up as they appeared in the show. Was getting worried we’d never get there, but Tamashii Nations have come through. The only negative with Tien is his ab joint, it seems to sit a bit low. You need to put his shoulders back in order to show his full mid section, so any forward crunching poses and he loses those abs. It’s not a huge deal but there. Sculpt and paint is sharp otherwise and the baggy pants look good even with the large knee cuts. Hand and head selection is great here, 4 of each. The Tri-Beam hands have mini notches on the thumb and forefingers to help you line it up perfectly. All in all, he captures the essence of Tien from the show and he’s a welcome addition!
