Our friends at Chronicle Collectibles have sent over photos and details for their upcoming Dark Crystal Castle of the Skeksis Scaled Prop Replica! Pre-orders for the Castle will go live tomorrow at 3:00 PM Pacific time (6:00 PM EST) via chroniclecollectibles.com. This limited edition scaled replica was 3D scanned from the original prop used in the film. Chronicle worked directly with The Jim Henson Company to ensure film accuracy. Paul Francis, Creative Director of Chronicle Collectibles is excited for fans to get their hands o nthe collectible. Here’s what he had to say:
“Based on the terrific response we had at Fan Expo Dallas a few weeks ago when we showed off the prototype, we decided to put this piece up for pre-order now. With this year being the 35th anniversary of The Dark Crystal, there is a groundswell of interest again in this film. The fan community is really excited to see where we go with this license and the Castle of the Skeksis is a long-awaited piece for many.”
This limited edition collectibles is crafted in polyresin. It stands at 18″ high and 8″ wide, with a themed base featuring a relief plaque of The Dark Crystal logo. The Castle of Skeksis is priced at $249. Fans on a budget can opt for the 3 and 6 month interest free payment plans. We will update with the pre-order link after it is live.
