Finally… the day you’ll take your final breath… Saiyan. Goku Black has landed in the S.H. Figuarts Dragonball series for all mortals to revel in his glory. I’ll skip the character backstory for those watching the US editions and are not fully caught up, but Goku Black is the big baddie in the current season of Dragonball Super. He’s responsible for the destruction of future Earth, triggering Future Trunks to return to the past and seek help, again. He doesn’t like mortals, and especially doesn’t like Goku. His power is beyond anything the heroes have faced, and he’s even pushed to a new form of Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan Rose, hence the pink hair alternate head included in this release.
The figure is top tier S.H. Figuarts head to toe, full range of articulation, solid colors and sculpting. He comes with Super and standard heads, 2 faces each. 3 sets of hands, plus 3 additional right hands. To cap it off he has an energy blade which attaches to the hand and a purple Kamehameha energy ball. Plastic quality is good. A slight negative is a tad too short neck. He uses the upgraded articulation tech which features double jointed knees, more complex hip gears, forward rotation shoulder joints and a torso joint.
All in all, he’s an awesome character and welcome addition to the line up, filling out the Super ranks. He’s out now in Japan, and should be at US retailers soon! Read on to check out over 55 HD shots showing what he can do!
