SDCC is almost upon us and Tamashii Nations are dropping Marvel items like crazy in Japan, so we figured we’d get one more in before we go on gallery hiatus for the show. Infinity War may have dominated the last couple months since the movie dropped, but we still needed Thor to represent the excellent Ragnarok last year. The Hulk in his gladiator gear already dropped, and now the Mighty one joins him in the SHF ranks.
Thor comes with two swords, moveable helmet gear, sword holders with and without hilts that plug into the back, 2 extra sets of hands, and in the US edition here – a Tamashii Lightning effect piece. No extra heads or club and shield are included, which is the only negative. It’s a sharp figure, and pairs with the awesome Hulk piece released a couple months ago perfectly. The face likeness is really good for the 1:12 scale. Not every angle is exact, but it does nail it from certain shots and is solid enough as a generic Thor face even when not.
