SSGSS Vegeta S.H. Figuarts Dragonball Super Broly Movie In-Hand Gallery

Our march to catch up with Dragonball S.H. Figuarts galleries for figures that dropped earlier in the year gets put on time out because today we have the latest release straight from Japan – Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegeta from the Dragonball Super Broly Movie! (Talk about a mouth full). This version of Vegeta features the darker blue base with grey armor as seen in the DBS Broly Movie. Structurally he is a repaint of the most recent Super Saiyan Vegeta with new head sculpts. The hair here is less big, more in line with the looks in the anime. He comes packed with SS Blue and SS Red heads, 2 extra faces for the blue head, folded arms, 4 sets of hands and an extra thumbs up hand.

I really liked the color tones seen here in the movie and on the figure. The Blue on the hair is perfect, matching Gogeta but not previous releases for Goku or Vegeta. The red hair has a pinkish hue similar to the SSG Goku, but it is not an exact match either. The face on the SSG head here is a bit soft, and has a thick outline around the mouth witch I don’t dig. An even thicker line around the grunting mouth on the blue face is present and also not optimal. Frowning and yelling blue faces are sharp and on point though. I’d really like more/better SSG Red faces, and then some Super Saiyan and standard heads to go on this body, but until then, the original SS release heads will have to do!

Bottom line, you can always nitpick these releases, but this is hands down my favorite Vegeta release in the S.H. Figuarts line so far. Great sculpt, great articulation, popping colors. If you see him out in the wild for a reasonable price, worth the pick up.
