Mega Construx Castle Grayskull Gallery

Mega Construx, formerly Mega Bloks and now under the umbrella of Mattel, has been putting out higher end collector brick sets for a while. Included in the properties they cover, Masters of the Universe is now one of them. They’ve been doing great mini-figures, vehicles and more, really digging into the brand’s deep roster. Today we are taking a look at their first Pro-Builder level piece – Masters of the Universe Castle Grayskull. It is a massive set of 3508 pieces, “in scale” relatively for the mini-figures. It has 3 floors, hidden rooms, opening front gate, weapons racks (with weapons), a throne, working elevator, house banners and 6 different mini figures. He-Man, Skeletor, Man-At-Arms, Sorceress, The Goddess and Beast Man all get articulated mini fig representation here.

While bricks aren’t my normal thing, it was a fun romp putting it together. Took me forever as I only had time to do a little bit each day, but once done it was impressive. If you are into MOTU and have an itch before the Origins figures drop in full, then I suggest checking this out. It’s also a great way to introduce the MOTU lore to younger fans by doing a big project like this with some toons on in the background.
