Time to play a bit of catch up on items I have in hand. I had received a bunch of items in hand in the last quarter of 2019. Due to a number of reasons, a few of those photo shoots had to be delayed. So over the next week or so, I’ll be mixing in some catch up photo shoots along with newer items. Today’s catch up photo gallery is for the Halloween (2018) – Clothed 8″ Scale Retro Figure from NECA Toys. The figure will soon be joined by a set of classic Halloween II 8″ Scale Figures. The figure includes a knife, and a hammer. The figure is in stores now.

Since the figure has been out for a bit, I’ll keep this fairly short. It’s a solid addition to the retro line up. The head sculpt is outstanding, even better than the one on their 7″ scale 2018 Michael Myers. Paint on the mask is great, and the blood covered hands are a nice touch. The included knife and hammer both fit fine in the right hand. I would have liked to see a few additional parts here. Either another couple weapons, or even a swap out set of hands. The cloth outfit, while a bit bulky, still works perfectly here. I think the jumpsuit look just works well with the look of the retro figures. I didn’t run into any issues with the joints, and articulation is solid (but not quite as good as the new 3.0 body we saw with the Goonies set).

If you’re collecting the NERCA retro line, then this is an easy recommendation. It looks quite different compared to the upcoming Halloween 2 version, so it’s easy to justify having both in the collection. The figure is in stores now. Check out a selection of photos below, and more after that.
