Good Smile Company has posted the product pages for their two upcoming Robocop releases. Included is the Hagane Works Robocop Figure, and the Moderoid ED-209 Model Kit. While they are from two different Good Smile company product lines, they are scaled fairly closely and meant to be displayed together. Both are scheduled for release early next year, and pre-orders go live today.
The Robocop figure stands at 6.7″ tall and will include some diecast metal parts. It includes three interchangeable lower jaws, interchangeable hands, swap out battle damaged parts, a Cobra Assault Cannon, a functional thigh holster for the auto-9 pistol. The figure includes a base that also acts as a storage container for all of the parts. It’s priced at 11,364 Yen (about $106 USD), and is due out in January 2021.
The ED-209 is part of their Moderoid series, and is a plastic model kit that will need to be assembled. The joints are pre-assembled though. ED-209 stands at nearly 7.9″ tall. It features water-slide decals that an be placed on the completed model kit for added detail. Wiring is also used to recreate the cables as well. ED-209 is priced at 8,091 Yen (about $76 USD). Look for it top be released in February 2021.

From the movie “ROBOCOP” comes a MODEROID plastic model of ED-209, the peacekeeping machine created by Omni Consumer Products. The model stands at around 20cm tall when completed. Its joints, pistons and slide rails are all articulated, allowing you recreated intimidating poses and comical poses alike.The model kit is made of PS and ABS plastic with POM and PE used for some joints and features runners separated into four colors (light gray, silver, medium gray, dark gray). Wires have been used to recreate the cables connecting to its arms. Water-slide decals are included for further detailing. Preassembled joints are included, making the model easy to pose.
