In 1981, a sequel to John Carpenter’s Halloween was released in theaters. The film picks up moments after the end of the original film. Michael Myers, having been shot multiple times, escapes into the cover of darkness as the horrors of the night become known to the town of Haddonfield. an injured Laurie Strode is sent to a hospital to recover from her battle with a killer who would turn out to be her brother. In the films final battle, Laurie Strode and Dr. Loomis team up to take down Michael Myers as he rampages through Haddonfield Hospital.
The new 2-pack from NECA Toys features 8″ scale clothed versions of Laurie Strode (in her hospital gown) and Dr. Samuel Loomis. The set is a companion piece to the previously release Halloween II Michael Myers 8″ Figure. Our friends at NECA have sent over the Halloween II 2-Pack to check out. After the jump you can see my photo gallery and review of the set.

Overall
The Laurie and Loomis 2-pack comes in a collector friendly window box. The front of the box has a large window, making the figures easily visible, along with the accessories. The back showcases the figures, and accessories, as well a showing recreated scenes from the end of Halloween II. Lauri includes a pistol. Loomis includes a pistol, and a swap out hand with a lighter. a pumpkin from the opening of the film is also included.
I’ve been really looking forward to this set. It’s always great to see a more robust roster from a horror series, especially one as iconic as Halloween. The set is pretty much a perfect representation of the end of the film, and the figures fit in nicely with the Michael Myers that was already released. The head sculpts, by sculptor Trevor Grove, are fantastic. The likenesses look spot on for the scale, and there’s some great detailing like the wrinkles on Loomis’ face. Paint work is clean and crisp, with no noticeable paint bleed. I’m especially impressed with how the eyes are painted here, as the detail work there is more refined than normal. The cloth outfit on Laurie is a just hospital gown that gets the job done. It’s simple but looks fine. There are some great little details on the arm and feet, though. NECA sculpted on bandages where she had them in the film. The fabric work, however, on Loomis’ trench coat and underlying suit are outstanding. The coat has nice clean lines, with no unwanted puffiness. To accommodate the coat (which is removable), the sleeves of Loomis’ suit are not there. It’s a bit odd, but I can see customizers having some fun with that.
Dr. Loomis looks to be using the 3.0 body style, which has better proportions and extra articulation. This is especially helpful when it comes to the ankles, which are full ankle rockers. Laurie looks to be using the same female body we saw in the They Live 2-pack. The articulation here is mostly solid, and the bare feet help her to stand much better than the high heels of the Alien Female from the They Live set. but, the same oddity with the hips is present, as the hips are connected straight up into the body, as opposed to the way we see on all the other figures. This makes it harder to get anything but a regular standing pose. not a deal breaker for me, but something worth noting.
The Halloween II Set is absolutely worth picking up for horror collectors. The two head sculpts are excellent, and it’s a great pairing with the Michael Myers figure. Check out a selection of images below, and the full gallery after that.
