Action Figures and Collectible Kickstarters Round Up – Boglins, Dawn of the Monsters, Mighty Maniax, and Star Dusk

It seems like action figure and nostalgia inspired Kickstarters have been popping up at a crazy rate. Over the last few days, a couple of interesting new ones popped up, so I’ve decided to round up four recent Kickstarters fans may be interested in. Check out some details, along with the links, below. After the jump, I’ve pulled together images for each Kickstarter.

Boglins® World Domination

Boglins® are back in their original size and cages, but they have evolved! Boglins® were extremely popular in the U.S. between 1987 – 1989, after which these creepy and cute puppets traveled around Europe, Canada, Japan and Australia for another 7 years but have been hiding ever since. Now the Boglins® are back with newly evolved styles and ready to burst pout of their cages!

This team is bringing back Boglins® due to overwhelming demand. What started as a passion project has quickly got out of control, much like the Boglins®. That’s where you come in! There are over 15,000 Bog-Fans, like you, and the demand is just too high for us to keep up with in our current production methods. If we can reach our goals, not only will you get to take Boglins® home with you, but you will help us smooth out production, give us the chance to get Boglins® into the hands of kids and collectors all over the world, and grant us the opportunity to create even more new fun styles of Boglins®! We believe this toy could inspire the next Jim Henson, film maker, or artist!

For the first time the complete story of the 7 Bogs and the 7 Kings will be told! Fans of the original Boglins® will be excited to learn more about these lovable uglies. Anyone new to the Boglins® world will get to enjoy the fleshed out origins of these retro-collectibles. Donors will receive a Boglin® from the FIRST BATCH ever made in 2021. They can buy up to 8 Boglin® styles including the first 3 Kings, Blobkin and the glow in the dark Bog o Bones. They can even buy up and have their Boglins® signed by Tim Clarke!

Mighty Maniax: Horror & Gaming Inspired Glyos Action Figures

Decades ago, cartoons were made from toys, and video games were made from cartoons. Its always been a dream of mine to bring a world like Masters of the Universe, Transformers, or TMNT to life. Mighty Maniax is being created in that same spirit.

This is a new 3″ line of action figures inspired by vintage collectibles like, Battle Beasts, Army Ants, and Hasbro era WWF figures. Heavily influenced by video games and cartoons of the ’80s and ’90s, these characters represent a wild world of action, horror, and sci-fi fantasy. Johnny Tombstone is the main character and hero of the Mighty Maniax world. His supernatural abilities to sense evil and destroy it are unparalleled. Equipped with an Evo-cannon and containment pack, he sets out to balance the forces of good and evil with the most unlikely of companions.

Among his band of misfit monsters are Fishstik, a hyper-intelligent water creature, and Viper, a fast-talking Ninja by day; deadly Werewolf by night. Enter a world of frightening monsters and mighty heroes with the all new Mighty Maniax action figures.

Star Dusk (6″ Scale) Action Figure Series

We are pleased to introduce Star Dusk! A premium line of futuristic 6″ (1:12 scale) action figures from Fox Forge Toys LLC.  This brand new action figure line includes unique, original character designs, weapons/accessories, and 30 high quality points of articulation. The Star Dusk line also provides army building collectors the opportunity to bring the ruthless Legionnaire troopers to their shelves. For the initial funding goal of $55,000, we will be able to produce 4 characters and a weapons/accessories pack add-on. The figures include the bold Commander Alder, the mysterious Xeno, the militant Legionnaire, and the Kickstarter Exclusive “Reaper Division” Commander Alder.

If we are to exceed the initial funding goal of $55,000, then additional figures, weapons packs, and accessory packs will be “unlocked”. Please read down at the bottom of the page about how the funding process of this Kickstarter works and how you will be able to pick which characters you would like at the very end of the project!

Dawn Of Monsters Werewolf Series
