Marvel Comics – Iron Man The Origins Collection Figure by Hot Toys

Hot Toys has announced The Origins Collection, newly designed figures based on classic Marvel Comics. Unsurprisingly, they are kicking off the collection with their favorite character; Iron Man. The Iron Man “The Origins Collection” 1/6 Scale Figure stands nearly 13″ tall, with over 30 points of articulation. Hot Toys will be offering both a Standard Edition and a Deluxe Edition, which will have additional accessories.

The head sculpt will feature swap out mask parts inspired by some of the older comics. The armor has a number of swap out pieces as well. The most interesting feature for the figure is the inclusion of clear plastic parts that go on top of the armor, offering a pretty unique appearance among their Iron Man armors. The clear parts can attach to the head, arms, chest, torso, waist, and feet. They not only add additional sculpted elements, but also have some painted on details that blend in with the existing red and gold armor. The figure has light up LED effects throughout. The figure will have multiple interchangeable hands. The Deluxe Edition adds an articulated suitcase, and a diorama display base featuring moveable gantry arms, and computer screens that light up.

Pre-orders for these figures are now available from Sideshow Collectibles. The Iron Man Standard Edition is priced at $375. The Iron Man Deluxe Edition is priced at $405.
