Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1990 Movie – Episode 2 Behind The Scenes Making Of the April O’Neil Figure by NECA

NECA and Judith Hoag have once again teamed up to take fans behind the scenes of the making of the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1990 Movie – April O’Neil 7″ Scale Figure! The April’s April Takeover video can be seen after the jump. She talks about articulation, the initial sculpts by Adrienne Smith, the final head sculpts being done by Trevor Grover, paint work by Geoff Trapp, and how they are using digital patterns to match the fabric patterns of the outfits and accessories. The video gives us sneak peeks at the in-progress sculpts, how the hand painted figure is done, and including a surprise tease of the unmasked Elias Koteas Casey Jones portrait.

There will be two more behind the scenes videos over the next month, where we will get even more insight, and more previews. I’ve gone through and screen capped a few notable frames. You can see those and the full video after the jump.
