First 4 Figures has opened up pre-orders for their Silent Hill 2 – Red Pyramid Thing Statue. Also known as Pyramid Head, the Red Pyramid Thing is one of the most terrifying creatures in the Silent Hill universe. The statue stands at 18″ on a themed base, and is cast in resin. three versions are available. There is a Standard Edition, an Exclusive Edition, and a Definitive Edition. With the Standard Edition, the Red Pyramid Thing is holding the Great Knife. With the Exclusive Edition, the Red Pyramid Thing includes swap out arms with the Great Knife, and the Great Spear. The Definitive Edition adds swap out arms with no weapons, and a Great Spear can also be positioned impaling the Red Pyramid Thing under his helmet.
Pre-orders for these can be found at the First 4 Figures Store. The Standard Edition is priced at $484.99, the Exclusive Edition is priced at $499.99, and the Definitive Edition is priced at $544.99. The Red Pyramid Thing made its debut appearance in the second entry of the Silent Hill franchise: Silent Hill 2. Since then, it has become the most iconic monster and the face of Silent Hill.
Also known as “Pyramid Head”, its massive pyramid-shaped metal headgear is the Red Pyramid Thing’s most prominent feature. It raises its left hand just before swinging its Great Knife, signalling that it’s about to strike. The Red Pyramid Thing’s butcher outfit is covered in blood as it slaughters anything that dares cross its path.
The base is inspired by the carpet in the boss room in Lakeview Hotel where James Sunderland has his final encounter with a Red Pyramid Thing and faces two of these. On the back of the base are nine red squares, which is the clickable save point you find just before entering the boss room.
