Iron Studios Round Up - Harley Quinn, Vision, Wanda, Dracula, Taz - The Toyark

A mix of items and properties today from Iron Studios. Marvel, DC and Universal Monsters all get some love with statues. Wanda and Vision get MiniCo artistic pieces based on their Wandavision Halloween looks. Taz gets a Space Jam piece. Harley and Dracula get screen accurate 10 inch scale items. Harley Quinn – The Suicide Squad – BDS Art Scale 1/10

Choosing a new costume made of red and black leather, and a short jacket with the “Live Fast Die Clown” slogan in the back (a provocation to her ex-boyfriend Joker), dressing pants with the geometric diamond print just like in the deck suits (a replicated feature from her original costume) and adding a buckle with her initials, a pair of aviator glasses over her braided hair, she continues to walk and smile on a pedestal of the wild terrain from the fictional island of Corto Maltese, carrying on her right shoulder the big javelin given to her by the villain and former German Olympic athlete Javelin right before he died, considering her to be the best person to carry it, but leaving Gotham’s Maid of Mischief confused about its purpose. Adding to their line of statues from The Suicide Squad, Iron Studios present “Harley Quinn – The Suicide Squad – BDS Art Scale 1/10” in another future release.

Once again played by Margot Robbie, the clown princess of crime returns once more recruited by the unscrupulous director Amanda Waller, to fulfill another mission in the convicted villain’s limited group that works for the government in exchange for favors or sentence reduction, called Task Force X, better known as The Suicide Squad. With the objective of destroying a prison and a laboratory that holds political prisoners and secret experiments, Harley is part of the first team that arrives the beaches of Corto Maltese, that is actually part of a distraction strategy for the local military forces, so that a second team of the group can carry on with the mission without obstacles.

Taz – Space Jam: A New Legacy – Art Scale 1/10

Spinning fast like a whirlwind, the small, robust and fierce Tasmanian Devil moves on the virtual reality basketball court, dribbling the ball in search for victory with a liveliness as eager as his voracious appetite. Known for his speeches made of grunts and growls, and wearing his Tune Squad team’s jersey, he gathers with his old friends and companions from the Looney Tunes animations to win and get back to his world. From the new movie Space Jam: A New Legacy, Iron Studios present their new statue “Taz – Space Jam: A New Legacy – Art Scale 1/10”, with the cranky, but also sometimes sweet and naive character from the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies animated series from Warner Bros.

Chasing Bugs Bunny, the Tasmanian Devil, better known simply as Taz, made his first appearance in the animated short “Devil May Hare” in 1954, created by Robert McKimson. Participating also in other cartoons by Daffy Duck’s side, Taz gained popularity in the 1990’s as the main protagonist on his own series Taz-Mania with four seasons. Inpatient and owner of a limitless appetite, devouring all that he can, Taz was part of the original Space Jam movie (1996) with the other Looney Tunes and interacting with the legendary basketball player Michael Jordan, he returns in “Space Jam: A New Legacy” with the basketball star LeBron James in a fictional version of himself, where he’s abducted by the artificial intelligence called Al-G Rhythm to a virtual reality, in which they need to win a basketball match against the monstruous game avatars of Goon Squad players created by Al-G.

Dracula / Dracula Deluxe – Art Scale 1/10 – Universal Monsters

In the border between Transylvania and Wallachia, in the middle of the forest in the Carpathian Mountains, a noble and eccentric aristocratic figure, dressed in a gallant formal suit open its red and black cape like giant wings of a night creature, fixating its hypnotic eyes to feed from the blood of live prey to maintain its power and immortality. Thus, Iron Studios proudly present their statue “Dracula Deluxe – Art Scale 1/10 – Universal Monsters”, with the most famous vampire from fiction, on a diorama pedestal with the staircase steps from its castle and a wild wolf howling by its side, highlighting its power to control the creatures of the night.

Precursor of the Universal Classic Monsters franchise, the first shared cinematic universe, Dracula was released in 1931, and marked the beginning of the Golden Age of Horror, time in which the sound films radically changed the genre and some of the greatest monsters from all times were perpetuated in the history of cinema. Based on Dracula’s theater play from 1924, adapted from the gothic horror novel Dracula from 1897 by Bram Stoker, the vampire lord was played by the seasoned Hungarian actor Bela Lugosi, chosen because of his performance in the Broadway’s theater adaptation, Lugosi immortalized Dracula’s image in the pop culture as the archetypal vampire in works of fiction. In the story, the charming and mysterious Count Dracula, a secular vampire, migrates from Transylvania to Carfax Abbey in England where he’s faced by his greatest rival, professor Van Helsing.

Dracula, already available for Pre-Order, adds to Iron Studios’ collection along with The Wolf Man and The Mummy, both also available for Pre-Order, as another pop icon inspired by the horror movies and immortalized in different film productions. Vision Halloween Version – WandaVision – MiniCo

Casually smiling, the Avenger Vision relaxes, leaning on a wood box from an antique tube TV set, in which its screen shows the image of his beloved wife Wanda, wearing a classic dress as the protagonist of an old series. Costumed for Halloween, he dresses an uniform similar to his original version from the comics, but in a much simpler and stripped-down way, with a sports shorts, sneakers and yellow socks, he describes himself to Wanda as a Mexican Wrestling, where “luchadores” stand out because of their leotards, capes and colorful masks. Inspired by “All-New Halloween Spooktacular!”, the sixth episode from Marvel’s miniseries “WandaVision” from streaming channel Disney+, Iron Studios present the statue “Vision Halloween Version – WandaVision – MiniCo”, with the stylized hero on a pedestal decorated with two themed pumpkins with passionate eyes.

Using her magic, the Avenger hero Wanda Maximoff changes the reality of a small town, transforming it on fictional world based on the sitcom TV series, with each themed episode from a different period, with several references emulating old series, where the synthezoid Vision appears married to Wanda and living unusual and fun family situations. WandaVision was the first TV series integrated to the MCU, produced by Marvel Studios. Among the most acclaimed by the general public and critics, this episode pays tribute to the Halloween theme episodes like in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s TV series.

Wanda Halloween Version – WandaVision – MiniCo

Playing with her mystic powers, the beautiful witch with auburn hair leans on an antique TV set, making the image of her beloved husband appear on the screen, the synthezoid Vision, just like in an old black and white series. Wearing a leotard with boots, gloves and a red cape, besides her classic tiara, the Avenger Wanda Maximoff comes up with her look from the Marvel comics, ready to celebrate Halloween like a “Sokovian Fortune Teller”, with small pumpkins decorated for the occasion in its pedestal. Iron Studios present their statue “Wanda Halloween Version – WandaVision – MiniCo” with the powerful Scarlet Witch in the stylized MiniCo format, inspired by “All-New Halloween Spooktacular!”, the sixth episode from Marvel’s miniseries “WandaVision” from streaming channel Disney+.
