We’re one step closer to a full range of figures based on The Death and Return of Superman, as a new MAFEX Steel Figure has been fully revealed by Medicom. In the comics, after Superman is killed, a man named John Henry Irons crafts a metal suit to honor his legacy, and protect Metropolis. The character emerged at the same time as a Cyborg Superman, Superboy, and The Last Son of Krypton (now known as The Eradicator). Steel joins the Cyborg Superman and Black Suit Superman figures from the era.
Steel stands at 6.7″ tall and features a fabric cape. The figure includes swap out hands, three interchangeable portraits, a large hammer, and flight effect pieces. Steel is priced at 9,680 Yen (about $75 USD). US retail will be about $105. Pre-orders are available at the links below. Check out the new photos after the jump.
