ThreeZero’s Robo-Dou line continues on with a focus on Japanese specific properties done up in their trademark high end package. Today’s in-hand gallery is for Evangelion, the New Theatrical Edition. The popular anime series from the 90s has been redone by the original creator over the last 15 years in movie form, changing up the original story a bit. The final movie released in 2021. Prototype-00 is the EVA Unit piloted by Rei Ayanami, a main focus of Shinji Ikari, the story’s lead. This was the first EVA mech created and has a different appearance from it’s original anime form.
ThreeZero’s piece is another top of the line production, coming in at around 10 inches tall, constructed with a die-cast frame, high end paint, 48 points of articulation, and tons of specific accessories. The gigantic ESV shield as seen in both the anime and first movie is also included. Read on to check out our in-hand gallery for it, courtesy of ThreeZero. It’s due to ship soon, so get your pre-orders in if you dig it!

Overall Thoughts
Another great piece. If you check our Unit-01 review, all the key points are the same here. Construction is solid, smooth joints, good posing. Paint is sharp. It feels quality in hand. Pairing this up with 01 and 02 will give a great core team display. In addition, Model-03 from the movies was just announced and will add to the line up. ThreeZero has also given us a Unit-01 accessory pack, and a variant of Unit-01. Bottom line, if you are into the lore, these are great centerpiece displays at an affordable price.
