Tamashii Nations Godzilla Day 2022 – Gigan, Kiryu, Shin Godzilla 4th Form, New Stock on GvK Kong

Today marks the annual celebration of all things Godzilla! On November 3, 1954, Gojira was released in Japan. Each year on November 3rd, Toho celebrates Godzilla Day with new announcements and new merchandise. A new film was announced, which will release exactly one year from now on November 3, 2023! Godzilla Island, a Japanese animated series, will see it’s first official US releases on Toho’s YouTube channel.

Tamashii Nations has also been sharing their own updates related to Godzilla. Additional products may be revealed as the day progresses. For now, here’s what’s new.

Pre-orders are starting to go live in Japan for the S.H. MonsterArts Shin Godzilla 4th Form “Night Combat Version”. In Japan, the figure is a general release, and will be available from most online retailers. The figure stands at 7″ tall, and features a new paint deco. It’s priced at 16,500 Yen (about $111 USD). It’s due for release in March 2023.

The convention exclusive Godzilla vs Kong – S.H. MonsterArts Kong has gotten a restock, and is now available on Amazon.com. It’s priced at $90, and begins shipping out on November 16th. It includes alternate hands, swap out portraits, an axe, a Mechagodzilla head, and more.

Tamashii Nations is holding a new event in Japan. The TAMASHII NATION 2022 event will showcase new produucts. They have shared a preview of the items on display. Those include a S.H. MonsterArts 1972 Gigan, as well as a Soul of Chogokin Kiryu from the 2004 film Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla.
