John Carpenter’s The Thing – Dog Thing by NECA

Preorders are now live for the newest NECA release from John Carpenter’s The Thing! The latest collectible is the Deluxe Ultimate 7″ Scale Dog Creature, aka the Dog Thing. In the film, the dog is our first glimpse of what the shape-shifting alien is capable of. After being put into a kennel with other dogs, the Dog Thing begins to mutate, and attempts to assimilate the other dogs, replacing them with imitations.

The new Deluxe Dog Creature features the dog with numerous interchangeable parts. Those include interchangeable heads, tendrils, spider legs, and a lashing tongue. Also included is the hairless creature version of the Dog Thing, stripped down to an oozing mass, with tendrils and tentacles bursting out. A set of monstrous hands can also be attached to this figure.

The Deluxe Dog Creature is priced at about $60. It’s due for release in September. Check out additional info, the pre-order links, and the new photos below.
