Today we are rocking what our gallery goals were way back in 2011 – a random session with a figure, not necessarily new or hot off the presses, just something we wanted to play around with and share some pics and thoughts of. A true Random Photo Shoot. Today’s gallery is for Sentinel’s SV-Action Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse Miles Morales. This came out originally in 2021, with pre-orders starting in 2020. I looked, thought about it, lolly gagged, missed it. Then it came out in the US via Gamestop later on and I snagged one. However, this was during my “I have too much stuff coming in, I gotta shoot XYZ first”. Next thing you know, it was years after first release. So, he’s literally been sitting in his plastic prison since then. With the coming second Spider-Verse flick, Across the Spider-Verse, I figured now was as good as any time to crack him and play around.
Since he’s been out for years now, I won’t go too deep on a review. He’s around 1/12 scale, will work with Marvel Legends, Figuarts and others. Overall very impressed, great posability, accessories, and execution. It’s a quality figure worthy of a little extra coin. He’s also now my default Miles, posed out like the box using the included stand, hovering over my other Spideys in various forms of crouch.
As the fates have it, I also randomly purchased a pair of custom 1/12 scale Jordan 1’s at some point, and found those right as I was cracking this. They aren’t designed to work with this figure specifically, but I rigged it up best I could to get some authentic shots with em, and I think it worked. Maybe a tad big, but no big deal, it’s all animated-y anyway. So long as I don’t move him, they’ll stay on there I think.
Bottom line, if you run into him and don’t have him yet, worth a pick up! Enjoy the pics, and enjoy Across The Spider-Verse this weekend!
