This week, a new teaser trailer was released, giving Godzilla fans their first look at TOHO’s newest film. The movie, known as Godzilla Minus One, will be set in postwar Japan. The trailer is very short, with no plot details revealed. The movie is scheduled to hit theaters in December. Shortly after, the new design for Godzilla was revealed, and merchandise was quick to follow.
The first action figure of the new Godzilla has been revealed by Tamashii Nations. The S.H. MonsterArts Godzilla Minus One Figure will stand at 6.3″ tall. The figure features all of the articulation you’d expect from the S.H. MonsterArts series, and adds in a few new movable parts. For the first time, they have added individually articulated toes for additional posing options. No accessories will be included with the figure.
Pre-Orders for the Godzilla Minus One figure will go live on July 18th. The figure is expected to ship out in November, and will be priced at 14,850 Yen (about $107 USD). See photos, and the teaser trailer below.
