Hiya Toys has shared the first preview photos for their upcoming action figures based on the most recent Contra video game; Contra: Operation Galuga. Contra began life as an arcade game in 1987, but it’s port to the Nintendo Entertainment System later hat year helped it become one of the most memorable franchises of the 8-bit era. Contra is a side-scrolling shooter, where two fighters take on an Alien invasion. The game popularized the “Konami Code”, which unlocked 30 lives in the game, making it much easier to complete the game.
The new figures from Hiya Toys feature Bill Rizer an Lance Bean as 1/12 scale action figures. Each looks to include a few weapons from the game. At this time, only a few photos were released. Full details will be released at a later date. You can see the new images below.
