During San Diego Comic-Con 2024, Mattel debuted the outstanding looking new Masters of the Universe Origins Snake Lair Playset. This massive set is the fortress of the Snake Men, and it’s scale rivals that of Snake Mountain! Mattel was kind enough to send over a press release, with initial details, and FAQ, and official teaser images for the upcoming crowdfunding campaign for the Snake Lair.

The Snake Lair, the fortress of the Snake Men faction, was first featured in the Classics mini comics but never created in toy form. It features a throne room for Lady Slither, with both bi-pedal and serpentine designs. Unwelcome visitors will be greeted with blasters, captured in devices, and placed into the iron maiden or snake shackles. We’ve also added a fully detachable Rattle Trap vehicle, a first-time creation for the line, and we’ve got even more surprises to reveal!
This crowdfunding campaign will put the power in fans’ hands to bring The Snake Lair to life! Throughout the crowdfund campaign, there will be multiple beats where we announce and reveal additional information. Absolutely! This will be the first time we will be able to get Rattle Trap in toy form. It will come with the base level playset.7. Will my credit card get charged?
You won’t be charged unless the campaign reaches the minimum goal of 6000 backers by September 8th (23:59 PST). Only when the campaign succeeds, will your payment will be processed.
