Marvel Legends Fire Team – Random Photo Shoot

Posting up a gallery today which follows our OG style of sharing – a Random Photo Shoot.  These are not hot off the press figures, not a first look.  Just some cool figures that I wanted to play around with and photograph.  I thought the recent Marvel Legends Jean Grey and Hellverine figures were sharp when they got announced, and snagged them.  I am VERY casual with my Marvel consumption, so I’m not invested hard into the lore here, I just though the figures looked dope!    Both have clear plastic fire built into the figure or as accessory pieces, and that’s always fun to shoot.  So then I started looking around, and decided to get some more, but chilled out and just grabbed the recent Jack O’Lantern from the Spider-Man retro wave.   Lastly, and I’m kicking myself, I included some shots of the Demogoblin BAF from that wave with Vulture and Shang-Chi.  I was going to reshoot it for this, but I can’t for the life of me find it.  Tub dove and nothing. It’s here somewhere, but I gave up the hunt.  So those shots are actually from back in 2020 when I shot the whole wave (see here).

This isn’t a full review, or even a full gallery highlighting all the features etc.  Just some fun play around shots.  Quick thoughts – Hellverine is awesome in hand – all that bendy ML goodness plus FIRE claws and a flaming Terminator Adamantium head!  Jean Grey – love the *evil head sculpt.  Phoenix piece is great, only ding is that it sits a bit too forward on the base, forcing Jean to pose outward, hard to get her leaning back slightly in her “I’m gonna kick your ass” hover pose.  Jack O’Lantern – sharp, fun to pose around with.  Bomb stays tucked in that hand well.   I did more shots all poseyed out, but didn’t dig them so it’s just the one here. The base is cool, but I couldn’t find my Demogoblin and his hover stand to pop in the bottom there (I think that would work, and if so be great).

Marvel Legends are always just a fun time to pose out and play around with, as more and more stuff comes out when you come back to them you appreciate that more.  Goes for all seen here too.

That’s it for now, my ML Toyark Fire Team has begun, as I snag some more hotness and build the nook on the shelf I’ll update down the road!

Of note – Diorama is the Underground Palace by Twelve World, courtesy of Big Bad Toy Store.  The Jack O’Lantern BG is actually their Retro cardback, scanned, re-colored, and depth adjusted.  Lighting and smoke effects are all physical, on camera.  Just tweaked and pushed in post.
