Revoltech Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles In-Hand Gallery

By Tony_Bacala on October 16, 2014 at 1:06 pm under Random Photo Shoot, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Toy News

Kaiyodo announced the Revoltech Turtles earlier this year and Turtles fans rejoiced, until they saw the price. At $65 bucks a pop, these are not for the casual collector. These things are super articulated, Nickelodeon show accurate, come with accessories and stands, and truly kick ass though. Are they worth it? We’ve done up over 125 shots of the Revoltech Turtles in action, check them out along with our thoughts after the break!

Revoltech Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Pros
Super poseable
Faithful to the Nick look
Alternate heads
Moveable eye feature is awesome
Display stands are mini-dios

Cons
Revoltech system hinders quick posing
Weapons tend to pop out easily while handling

Overall
These are some pretty awesome toys. Expensive, but awesome. They use the Revoltech peg system for every possible joint, down to the fingers. Poseability is endless; however, these ratcheting joints are tight. For quick posing, or posing in a dense shelf on the fly, you’re gonna have problems. Getting them into position requires a focused session, to the point that in the instructions they tell you to remove the part, use pliers to twist the peg, then re-attach the part. So, after you accept that, they are phenomenal. They are very show accurate, capturing the subtle differences between Turtles you see on the Nick show. Height, color, gear all have differences. Alternate “anime” heads for surprise or battle time are also from the show. They run about 5-6 inches, so they can work with existing Playmates stuff, and even the Turtles Lair as you’ll see below. The price, coming in at 65 dollars each, is a bit crazy, but since I haven’t jumped into the Nick Turtles line I figured I’d grab these and be done, rep the Nick show which I dig on the shelf with these guys. If you really like the Nick Turtles, love show accuracy and articulation, and have some cash to burn, these are definitely for you. Check out over 125 shots of them in action below!
