After debuting the figure a few days ago, NECA has shared an official look at a new Retro Mego Style Freddy Krueger. The figure is based on Freddy‘s design from A Nightmare On elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge. The design is notable for a couple of reasons. First, the glove hand is replaced with blades that extend directly from the fingers, as seen at the end of the film. Second, Elm Street 2 replaces Freddy‘s solid sleeve sweater with the striped sleeves that would become the norm for the sequels that followed.
The Nightmare On Elm Street 2 Mego Style Freddy Krueger is due out some time next year. We’ll update when new info becomes available. Check out the new photo by reading on.
