Star Wars The Force Awakens Black Series wave 4 galleries conclude today with a look at the Tie Fighter Pilot! This is a repaint of the figure that came with the 6 Inch Scale Tie Fighter, a slight one at that. The one with the vehicle was the Tie Pilot Commander, marked with red stripes on the helmet. This is the standard Tie Fighter Pilot and doesn’t have stripes. Since the new vehicle is a dual cockpit that holds two 6 inch figures, it was bound to happen. I’d say necessary. There are some differences on the figure other than the helmet stripes, so let’s take a look after the break courtesy of Dorkside Toys!

Great figure. I dig all the upgraded designs of the first order, Stormtroopers, Flametroopers, Snowtroopers – and the Tie Pilots too. A perfect mix of old school and new. This version of the figure is a bit more refined than the one that came with the Tie Fighter. The armor plating, helmet and boots are more shiny. That may seem like a simple change, but it is an improvement. The contrast with the underlying gear makes it feel higher quality even if it’s just psychological. He is basically “needed” if you own the Tie Fighter, and works well on his own in the First Order ranks. Pick this bad boy up!
