Bloodborne is a Playstation 4 action role playing game. In the game, you play as the Hunter, who hunts down and destroys an assortment of beasts in the fictional cursed city of Yharnam. The Hunter uses an assortment of weapons, such as a saw cleaver, swords, guns, and even a giant hammer to slay the beasts.

Overall
For the most part, my original review of the Bloodborne 1/6 Scale Hunter Statue will cover most of the ground on this. Here’s what I had to say in January for that statue:
The statue features an intricately detailed sculpt. Each wrinkle in the eyes, each fold in the jacket, each serrated edge of the blade are all handled with great care. It’s a spot on accurate portrayal of the Hunter. The paint is carefully applied to enhance the sculpted detail. Each piece of fabric or skin is handled differently, giving it a nice lifelike look to it. The statue sits atop a cracked cobblestone walkway. The plastic used here is very well done. I didn’t feel any small, brittle pieces that normally accompany plastic statues. Also included is a diorama backdrop, showing Yharnam as seen in the promotional posters for the game. The statue is in a straight up standing pose. There’s no movement to it. An attack or defensive pose would have been fun to have. However, the pose will allow for much easier weapons swapping when the Arms Collection is released.
So what’s new on this release? The main addition is the presence of blood…A lot of blood. The statue base has been updated with a giant pool of blood, while the figure received assorted splattering details. The red enhances the already excellent sculpt. It breaks up the monotone colors of the Hunter itself, giving the legs, hands and saw blade some extra pop. The blood itself is a mix of bright red, for the pooling, and a darker crimson for the stains that have been there a little longer.
Aside from that, the statue is largely the same. The fantastic sculpt is just as detailed as you would expect from Gecco. The build quality is top notch, with no breakage issues and very easy assembly. Combine all that together, and the Puddle of Blood version is probably the way to go for fans of the game. It’s priced the same as the original release, and the red really helps the statue to stand out. With not much being different, it may not be enough to sway those who own the first release, into getting a second version. But, it’s honestly hard to go wrong with either statue if you’re a fan of the game.
