Gentle Giant has posted pre-orders for their next DC Comics Jumbo Figures. The next two are Batman: The Animated Series – Batman and DC Comics Super Powers Penguin Figures. Each 12″ scale figure is priced at $90 with a release set for the first quarter of 2017.

Based on digital scans of the original 1993 Kenner 5” action figure, this jumbo figure stands 12” tall. Every detail is meticulously re-created from the original figure, capturing perfectly the design aesthetic and tone of the series embodied in Gotham Cities very own Dark Knight! To further capture the vintage feel, Gentle Giant has packaged Batman with a retro-inspired backer card featuring original photos and artwork. Designed with the collector in mind, each jumbo figure comes in a protective re-sealable plastic outer clamshell. In 1984, Kenner began the release of their next line of extremely popular action figures: The Super Powers Collection! This line included heroes and villains such as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Joker and many more. Gentle Giant Ltd. is proud to announce Gotham City’s waddling master of foul play himself, The Penguin! This jumbo figure will be the next release in this stunning line of retro figures. The Penguin jumbo figure was developed using state of the art 3D technology. Gentle Giant Ltd. has taken an original mint condition Super Powers Penguin and created a highly accurate digital model with the use of 3D scanners. This digital model was then scaled to 1:6 scale, and printed using top of the line 3D Systems printers. These pieces are then used in manufacturing to produce extremely accurate scaled replicas right down to The Penguin’s signature umbrella! The Super Powers Collection jumbo figures from Gentle Giant Ltd. are made from high quality vinyl and ABS plastic parts. Many of these figures also include fabric capes and accessories. Finally, each incredible figure features retro art packaging and comes in a protective re-sealable blister pack.
