After numerous teasers, appearances at toy shows and conventions, Hot Toys has finally released the details on their upcoming Ripley figure. The Alien – Ellen Ripley 1/6 Scale Figure is based on Signourney Weaver’s role as Ellen Ripley in the now iconic 1979 film Alien. This is actually their second take on a Ripley figure. Back in 2007, Hot Toys introduced their fist set of figures based on Aliens. At the time, however, they did not have likeness rights, so the human characters took on generic faces.
The new Ellen Ripley figure will stand just under 12″ tall and will have over 285 points of articulation. The figure includes multiple interchangeable hands, a flamethrower, a tracking device, a figure stand, her cat Jonesy and a carrying case for Jonesy. The figure is scheduled for release between the fourth quarter of the year and early 2017. You can see the photos and more info after the jump.
