DC Collectibles is pushing on with the Batman Animated line of figures, filling in with extended roster offerings and giving us special sets. Today we are looking at one of those special sets, the Batman Expressions Pack. The set features the standard Batman The Animated Series figure that has been released before, but with a wide array of add ons. Included are 7 different heads featuring animation accurate faces, 3 total sets of hands, 3 capes and 9 different accessories. It really is the definitive BTAS Batman, so if you’ve held off until now, this is probably the one you’re looking for. Very cool set. The extra heads and accessories are awesome, allowing for cool dio set ups (and pics if you are doing toy photography). For those that missed the cloth cape in the Batmobile pack, but had the original Batmobile, this is a great way to get a Batman that can sit in the ride without re-buying the Batmobile. Construction quality is also improved from the very first release. I knew they did that, and almost all the releases since that wave one have been perfect, but I never re-bought Batman and my original had 2 broken feet. So getting a fresh one was nice. I really would have liked the cape that was solicited early on, the swooped outward one, but that was dropped in favor of a more subdued “flapping in the wind” one.
Bottom line, its a perfect Animated Batman set and if you haven’t picked up this figure yet but want to, this should do the trick!
