Over the weekend, our friends at Chronicle Collectibles held a new Facebook Live video session. In the video, they announced that fans of Jim Henson’s Labyrinth will soon be able to pre-order one of Chronicle’s most highly anticipated items. Their Jareth: The Goblin King 1/4 Scale Statue will go up for pre-order on Black Friday, November 23, 2018! The statue was originally unveiled back at San Diego Comic-Con 2018, and also made an appearance at the Chronicle Collectibles display at New York Comic-Con 2018.
In the classic 1986 film Labyrinth, the legendary David Bowie portrays Jareth: The Goblin King, who rules a magical land filled with colorful characters of all sizes. Falling in love with a young girl names Sarah (Jennifer Connolly), he kidnaps her baby brother and forces Sarah to navigate a massive Labyrinth to find him. The film is filled with amazing creature work by Jim Henson studios and an excellent soundtrack with a number of memorable performances by David Bowie.
