Some initial details and preview images have been released for NECA’s Alien 40th Anniversary Figures. The celebration was delayed a bit, as the figures were initially set for release in May 2019. However, negotiations on some items took longer, and new opportunities arose allowing them to greatly expand what is being offered. In the previews, we get a great new look at the Samuel Brett 7″ Scale Figure. NECA also shared an image of the special window box packaging for the figures.
There will be three limited edition assortments, each with three figures. They will be available at Target, Walmart and Specialty Stores (online toy retailers), with each having a different assortment. A few previously released figures will see a re-release in the new anniversary packaging, but will be upgraded. There will be new accessories and/or facial printing tech for better actor likenesses. We know that Brett is included, we’ve seen Dennis Parker on display at conventions, and NECA previewed the updated Ellen Ripley figure. The packaging shows that the white Concept Xenomorph and Dallas Arthur will see re-releases. And if you look closely of the Brett photo, the Big Chap Alien looks to be blood splattered.
