NECA will be producing figure based on Disney’s Gargoyles. The animated series ran from 1994 until 1997. It featured a group of nocturnal Gargoyles that would turn to stone during the day. After being cursed, and frock in their stone forms for a thousand years, the Gargoyles are transported from Scotland to New York City. There, they awaken and find themselves strangers in this new world. While adjusting to their new life, they become the city’s nighttime protectors against a number of threats. The the series, the group is led by Goliath.
Overnight, NECA posted a preview photo, and updated their Twitter profile image, revealing that they have acquired the Gargoyles license. The first figure is of Goliath. The 7″ scale figure will include at least two swap out portraits, and a book. We will update with further details and more photos as they become available. See the images after the jump.
