NECA has tweeted a photo of a new Left 4 Dead figure. They have revealed the Player Select Boomer. The figure is scheduled for a Spring 2012 release.
They have also added more info and images on the NECA website.
After the exciting announcement that NECA would be releasing Valve consumer products, we didn’t release much else.
Sure, you were able to see some bits and pieces of the Team Fortress figure (literally), when we did our Sculptor’s Corner, and you saw our brand new Portal Companion Plush Cube.
But we haven’t shown you anything finished yet. In great part because we’re still working on most items, but also because these are only scheduled for release around Spring 2012. That changes today, at least a bit:
Here’s Left 4 Dead’s Boomer In Full Color!
If you haven’t played Left 4 Dead yet, apart from the fact you should, here’s a little bit about the Boomer:
“The Boomer is a bloated infected that can spit vision-impairing bile on the Survivors, attracting hordes of infected, and explodes on death, spewing more bile in the immediate area. They emit burping and vomiting like sounds when close by. A 5-note low piano cue plays to warn of the Boomer.”
This bile-exploding Zombie is not just disgusting (more than the Predator action figures?), or one of the nastiest figures we ever made (and we’ve made tons of Gremlins Action Figures), but FULLY ARTICULATED!

MOAR Left 4 Dead Zombies Are Coming Out Too
On a recent interview, a really nice shot of the NECA Left 4 Dead “Smoker Zombie” – (Work-In-Progress) leaked.
Pretty awesome, huh?
