Earlier this week we took at look at the San Diego Comic Con 2024 exclusive Tamashii Nations S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ball items – Goku and Gohan, Jiren and Trunks. Today we are gonna take a look at the NON-DB figures available next week – S.H.F. Naruto Kakashi Hatake (NaruTOP99) and S.H. MonsterArts Godzilla 1989 (Exclusive Deco).
Before we get started, details for grabbing these items at the show are below:
- Tickets – All three Dragon Ball figures will require tickets to purchase at the TAMASHII NATIONS Booth 3329.
- Ticket Distribution – Like in previous years, tickets will be available at the Dragon Ball outdoor activation located at the Marina Terrace | Mariott Marquis. Here is a link with detailed information. It also includes purchase limits.
- Non-Dragon Ball Exclusives – Neither SHF Kakashi or SHMA Godzilla require tickets. Attendees can walk right up to the booth to purchase either or both of these figures without a ticket. Also, Godzilla will be available at both the TAMASHII NATIONS Booth 3329 and our GODZILLA Booth 3345, which is right next to it.

S.H.MonsterArts GODZILLA (1989) -Exclusive Edition-
RAWR. Godzilla reinvents itself every couple years, so there is no lack of product out there. This one is based on the 89 model and features a charcoal grey with a cool blueish tone, and bright aqua fins. It’s a very sharp color combo, not just black and clear plastic. Articulation is solid, you can get some good stompy poses going on.

S.H.Figuarts KAKASHI HATAKE -NARUTOP99 Exclusive Edition-
Naruto is coming into it’s own with Bandai again. They ran the series before, paused a bit, and came back hard with updated versions and more. This is a NaruTOP99 version, which is based on a poll the series creators did asking for fans favorite versions. I have to say, I haven’t dipped into the anime or manga yet, so I can’t say this is awesome because it references X properly or any of that. I just like good figures, and this one is well executed and can pose out awesome.

I’ve grabbed a couple Naruto series figures, and Tamashii previously sent some Naruto items. They’ve been hanging out here waiting for the right time to open. As I said before, I haven’t dug into the series. I have my hands full with Dragon Ball and didn’t want to go down another rabbit hole, yet. :). But, since SDCC has this new Kakashi, figured I’d crack the two Naruto Uzumaki pieces I have. Different ages, looks, from different points in time during the anime. Both work well with Kakashi from what I can see online from some quick searches. Check out some shots showing off what they can do below!

SDCC 2024 Wrap Up
Both of these are items I do not focus on, but I can appreciate good pieces when I see them. Godzilla is very sharp in hand, the dark tones of the body make the fins pop. It feels premium in hand. The Naruto piece and the bonus Naruto(s) are also great, tons of poseability, great sculpting and nice character specific alt pieces for the face and hands. Kakashi’s blade are also sharp, literally and figuratively. If you are into these properties, they will be welcome additions. I think I’m gonna figure a place to tuck this Godzilla in, because those are my colors (see: TFW2005 over the years).
